I need to know if this item will work for Kool Mate 40.Is it for hot and cold cooler Kool Mate 40.
Ours has a red H and a blue C & a short in the cord. Please advise.

Yes, the 40323 is the proper replacement cord for the Koolmate 40. Unfortunately, Igloo has discontinued this part See the RP-255 for possible replacement.
